Feedings, Diaper Changes, Sleep (if I’m lucky)
When Oscar was born we had to supplement about two extra ounces each day because what I was giving him just was not enough. As the weeks went by we had to jump to four extra ounces then six and well you get the idea. Oscar has now figured out that eating from a bottle is much easier and he can get the food a lot faster. Therefore, breastfeeding is no longer. Even if I was breastfeeding, I am no way close to providing Oscar enough food. Just yesterday I could only pump about 14 ounces of milk and Oscar ate 35 ounces! This child is impossible to keep up with. And yes for those Baby Wise worshipers out there, I did not just give my child food every time he was fussy. (Note: I do think the book has a good attitude about it and almost all the ideas sound like they will/could work. However, I do have some disagreements with it but please don’t ask me what they are because I’m not going to say.) Trust me; I’m not excited to be spending all that money on formula. Also, ever since I’ve been giving Oscar more food he has been able to get on a schedule, he’s happier and sleeps better! It’s a win, win situation for the whole family! Everyone told me that as soon as I had my child I would forget all the bad and painful things that happen from pregnancy and labor and that’s why people get pregnant again. Well, I have to say that after I had Oscar I didn’t feel that way at all. I definitely remember all the throwing up I did and the horrible time it was being on bedrest and the pain I felt after labor (the list could go on) but I have finally gotten to the point were I think having another child would be good so Oscar could have a friend. However, I have not gotten to the point were that becomes reality. I’d rather just keep it a dream or one of my long, long term goals for now! Here are some more recent pictures of Oscar…

Loving Motherhood!
My little boy is growing up too fast:( As you know, when Oscar was born he weighed eight pounds, four ounces. Oscar was not eating very well to begin with and three days after his birth he weighed seven pounds, two ounces. I have to say that now he is eating extremely well and he now weighs twelve pounds! Also, he is now twenty-four inches long! Insane is it not? I feel like the entire day is spent feeding the child. My grandmother’s first boy actually weighed twelve pounds when he was born (and I don’t think they had epidural's back then) all I have to say is… OUCH.
Well, a lot has been happening. Just before Christmas Christian, Oscar and I moved down to St. George. We have moved in with Christian’s parents for the coming months because in July we will be heading off to med school in Missouri. For Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we spent it with the Anderson’s! However on Christmas Night, my family came over to the Anderson’s for a wonderful dinner, games and topped it off with the movie Horton Hears a Who! It was a lot of fun! New Year’s Eve was spent with a group of our friends! We enjoyed great conversation, pizza, Nintendo Wii and some of the best episodes of The Office! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We enjoyed a great game of Scrabble for Christmas Eve this year! (It's actually our Christmas card that we never emailed to anyone so here you go!)

Santa got to sit on my lap this year!
