A New Edition

For those who don't know already, I've managed to get pregnant again. I can now remember perfectly as to why it has taken me this long to get pregnant again. Let's just say I hate hate hate pregnancy but I love love love babies. I don't think this will be a good cycle. And yes the sickness has kicked in... it came about eight weeks into the pregnancy (which is three weeks earlier than it did with Oscar) and has been getting increasingly worse. My only hope is that this sickness with be gone after the first trimester. My due date is October 15th for now but Christian wants it to be born on the tenth of October for a 10.10.10 birthday. I'm not opposed to it coming early but I don't think there is much that I can do about it. One odd thing has been the smell and taste of salt makes me sick. You try finding food that doesn't have salt in it. Almost impossible. Fruit has been my friend lately (as long as it's after eleven in the morning cause I'm finding it easier to keep down food and liquids if I wait till after eleven to eat or drink anything). I'm trying to listen to what my body wants this pregnancy more than I did last time and that has helped a little. Well, I will try and post some pics of Oscar but lets face it I'm not too motivated to take pictures lately.

Oscar Oscar Oscar

So Oscar just had his 15 month doctor appointment last week and I realized I need to update the blog on his progress. Well he is still at a good 30 pounds and he is 32 inches tall. He also has 13 going on 14 teeth. Lately he does not want to wear pants nor get diaper changes. (And here I was hoping to potty train him at 18 months but no he is perfectly happy to sit and run around in his filthy diapers). Occasionally, he will bring me the wipes and a diaper and then run away... as if it's some sort of joke. Another thing he does is when I give him snacks or anything to eat he has to cook it first. He takes the animal cracker, fishy, cheerio, anything and sticks it in his pot then stirs it with his wooden spoon. Once he has stirred to his satisfaction then he will eat the snack. Occasionally he even adds his little plastic monkeys in there for flavor. It's funny cause whatever he is eating he always offers it to Christian or I (bottle, sippy cup, food), and sometimes I'll take it and say thank you then give it back but when it comes to monkey flavored animal cracker stew I have to decline every time. I think it takes a certain pallet to be able to eat that. Also, I guess I read too much because when Oscar wants my attention he grabs my book mark sticks it in my book and closes it. It's pretty funny but at the same time the kids got so much energy it's exhausting. I need to breath sometimes and reading helps relax me. For example, One night he woke up at three in the morning wanting to play. He played for three hours then took an hour nap from six to seven then was up until nine thirty that night. He would have played longer but I couldn't take it so I just stuck him in his crib and he finally fell asleep. Needless to say I think Christian's week break is coming at a good time.
