Mornings

This is what it looks like when we come to get Oscar from his room in the mornings. It's also what it looks like once he falls asleep at night but every night I go in there after he is asleep and clear out his bed so he can sleep better. I don't know if I could explain enough how much this kid loves reading.

Quick Update...

Life is going good. Christian has officially dove back into school. His first test this quarter is tomorrow. He went to bed at eight tonight because studies start at five tomorrow morning. This means that Oscar will not be seeing his dad as much but on the other hand I will no longer have to deal with Christian's lessons with Oscar of running into walls, sword fights, and head butting (AKA 'noggin' from Finding Nemo). If I was not so pregnant those things might be more fun to do but I refuse to run into a wall, sword fighting is not too bad, and head butting is more like Oscar's head smashing into my stomach. We are still waiting for baby boy number two to arrive. He's still got about four more weeks in the oven but if he decided to come a little early I would not complain. I had some good pics of Oscar but I'm using Christian's school computer and can't figure out how to get those pics on the blog so I'll have to post them another day.

Sugar Cookies

On Christian's week off I decided that we would make sugar cookies with Oscar. I split it into three days... the first day we just mixed up the batter and let it sit in the fridge over night. Next we did the cutting and baking which I think that was Oscar's favorite part. He got his own dough to have while I rolled some out and I guess he thought (I never really know what is going through his mind) that his needed to be flat like mommy's was so he set the dough next to him, stood up and then sat on the dough. Oddly enough when he stood up to look and see how flat his dough got it was no longer on the table and he didn't know were it went so naturally he just needed more. I let this go on a few rounds cause I thought it was so funny to watch. The last day we decorated. I matched the frosting colors with the color cups we have and Oscar loved watching the transformation of white frosting into yellow (le-low), green (geen), etc. We had dinosaurs, cars, trucks, stars, ducks,trains and lastly Nemo's. He didn't care too much about putting the frosting on the cookies, he mostly enjoyed picking out the colors and giving it to us to decorate with.




Oscar was trying to put his feet on the cookies the whole time we were trying to take a picture but he wouldn't stop so I just had to hold them down.
