I always am looking for good books to read but hesitate to just pick up any book and start reading cause I don't really want to waste my time with what I perceive to be a boring book. So for those out there who have similar tastes as I here is my book list (the ones I remember.. There could be more) for 2010 and my opinion.
Esperanza Rising By: Pam Munoz Ryan - I re-read this one on a plane ride and loved it even more than I did the first time I read it.
Fablehaven, Rise of the Evening Star, Grip of the Shadow Plague, Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary, Keys to the Demon Prison By: Brandon Mull... I think the second one was my least favorite but all in all I loved these books!
Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mocking Jay By: Susan Collins - I really like the first book in my own twisted way but by the third it did get a little violent for me.
Maze Runner, Scorch Trials By: James Dasner - I've really liked these and am excited for the third one to come out!
Wheel of Time: Eye of the World, The Great Hunt, Dragon Reborn By: Robert Jordan - I'm liking these books better. The first one was hard for me to get into cause there was so much going on and it didn't tie things together (that's how there will be 14 books by the end of the series) but as I read the second and third book things are really coming along and I enjoy them.
Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow By Jessica Day George - Loved Loved Loved it!
Princess of Glass By: Jessica Day George - Sequel to Princess of the Midnight Ball which is one of my all time favorite books and I loved this one as well!
The Egypt Game By: Zilpha Keatley Snyder - I love fun books like this one. It was great!
House of Many Ways By Diana Wynne Jones - Sequel to Howl's Moving Castle.. Funniest books and so great!
Savvy By Ingrid Law - Loved it!
Peter and the Sword of Mercy By: Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson - Book four of the series and it was okay to me. I love the other books but the story was going on too long for a fourth.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid By: Jeff Kinney - Funny Funny books. I can't wait to read the rest!
Calamity Jack By: Shannon Hale - I love both her graphic novels!
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society By: Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows - Absolutely loved all the characters in this book! Amazing!
Beastly By: Alex Flinn - Loved Loved Loved it!
Last but not least... I'm in the middle of book one of
Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud and am loving it.
I'm told (by Christian) that
Way of Kings
by Brandon Sanderson is my next book. I've LOVED all his others books so I can't wait but 1000 pages does seem daunting...
There you go book lovers, take what you will!
